The Scienscope SSZ-II Stereo Zoom Binocular Microscope is our most popular binocular microscope with high performance and durability that has been proven and time tested. It is made with the most advanced body construction and technology with a single spindle zoom, modularized gears, and fixed prisms. It also uses an isolated nylon-on-nylon gear system which increases the smoothness of the zoom, reduces martial fatigue, and protects the gears from other moving parts.

Proven Body Design
Scienscope prisms are housed with the body of the microscope,
and do not move with eyepieces. This design protects the prisms
and eliminates the chance of misalignment caused by the prisms.
Scienscope microscopes use an external nylon-on-nylon gear
system. This increase the smoothness of the zoom and protects
the gears from other moving parts. This system is less likely to
deteriorate over time due to the compatibility of the materials.
Notice how the gears are housed away from all other internal
mechanisms.
Scienscope microscope use advanced technology, Single Spindle
Zoom design, which allows for a smooth zoom and control that is
superior to many of our competitors. This revolutionary design
has two huge advantages. First, the objective cannot move
independently of each other; therefore, it is less likely to
cause a misaligned or double image. Secondly, the zoom knob is
extremely smooth, allowing the user to maintain the vision
trough eyepieces while zooming.
